1964 — Martin Luther King, Jr. , Minister and advocate of non- violence:

Instead of violence and war, he used the tactics of boycotts, demonstrations, and civil disobedience. to end racial segregation in the United States. He was influenced by Thoreau, Gandhi, and Christ, who once said, “Love your enemies.”
